It's Canadian Heart Health Month! This month we focus on the delicious foods that keeps a healthy heart, all while eating the nutritious foods that we love. ♥️⁠

We can all reduce our risk of heart disease by making healthy lifestyle choices, including quitting smoking, eating a healthy and balanced diet, getting enough sleep, exercising regularly, and monitoring blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

⁠Let's start this month off with overnight oats! ⁠

❤️ They contain more protein than most grains (5g per ⁠serving).⁠

❤️ They’re a rich source of fibre, which helps you feel fuller ⁠longer (4g per serving).⁠

❤️ They’re high in antioxidants which may help lower blood ⁠pressure levels.⁠

❤️ They can help you lose weight by making you feel more ⁠full and slowing down the emptying of your stomach.⁠

Ingredients:

🌱 Everland Oats⁠

🍶 Milk of your choice⁠

🥠 Everland Chia Seeds (Optional)⁠

🥛Yogurt of your choice⁠

🍊 Fresh fruit of your choice

Instructions:

  1. Combine 1 half a cup of oats and 1 half a cup of milk of your choice to a jar, mix together and put it in your fridge overnight.

  2. Top with a yogurt of your choice

  3. Add your favourite fresh fruit on top.

  4. Sprinkle some chia seeds on top.

  5. Feel energised and fulfilled for the day to come! ❤️
